Your private driver will be waiting for you at the dock in Civitavecchia. You will then reach Rome and the Colosseum where you start touring the interior of the amphitheatre with a licensed local guide.
The guided tour continues through the Forum where the guide will bring history to life and will take you to the most important sites of Ancient Rome : the Senate House, the Temple of Saturn, the Temple of the Divine Julius Caesar and the Capitol Hill, the most important of the famous 7 hills fo Rome.
You will walk through Piazza Venezia to the Trevi Fountain and via del corso where you will feel the magical atmosphere of the fashion center of Rome.
After lunch, you will stroll through Piazza Navona and visit the Pantheon, the best preserved temple of Ancient Rome. The cherry on the cake will be the visit of the Vatican, the world’s samllest country. We met Sergio at the Colosseum and began the most informational and interesting tour I have ever experienced. He had maps, photos, books, and knowledge that we were able to get a better feel for the importance of everything. It wasn't just looking at this and taking photos of that it was an in depth history of why, when, how each monument was built and its roll in history. We toured the Forum, Ruins, Trevi Fountain, Capital, Vatican Museum and more. Sergio made the trip even better with his humor and patience as I ran all over taking photos. He took us to a terrific restaurant just a couple of blocks from the Vatican and the food was very reasonable and very good, save room for desert. I have to say that he went above and beyond for us because I had to check my backpack at the Vatican and he ran in after the tour and got it for us... I don't know how he has so much knowledge, humor, good will and smile in such a small package!!! (sorry Sergio I had to say that :o) !!!) Absolutely loved this tour!!!
