GIANICOLO & VILLA PAMPHILI TOUR

There is a place in Rome on the borders of the city center that locals love but only few foreigners visit.

The tour begins from the entrance of the Colosseum. The largest Amphitheatre in the Roman Empire hosted a minimum of 50.000 spectators. You will visit the interior of the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Emperors' Palace.

It is a green hill called Gianicolo, the home of Ancient God Janus and hosts some of the most beautiful biuldings of the city, academies, embassies and memorials to the country heroes such as Garibaldi. The view from the top of it is breathtaking and a famous romantic venue for promenades and memorable photos.

On this special tour you will visit not only the Gianicolo but also the neighboring Villa Pamphili, a sumptous country residence with gardens that today is a public park. The tour starts from the precious Church of San Pietro in Montorio and the Bramante Temple one of Rome's Architecture Masterpieces..

OPTIONAL: If you have time and if they are open on the day you choose, we will also explore the Catacombs of St. Pancrace, one of the less known and most interesting undergrounds of the city.
